I have to finish the installation of my 2 L7's today, i did my term paper on car audio 
and my presentation is in two days.....my amp is installed, my box built, but im stuck when it comes to speaker wire. Im wiring them down to 1 ohm, and since the subs are 4 ohm the wiring config. is parallel/parallel......i bought 12 g. speaker wire but the negative side of the wire will not go thru the terminal because the insulation is square; however, the positive went thru fine, since it is circular. Why is this? Can I still use this 12 g. wire, and if so, what should i do to get it to work? Can I just use 14 g.?......btw the speaker wire is lightning audio.
