Those are some pretty high prices...they were selling the RE SE12 for 240 pounds...which is equivalent to about $360 (US) at an exchange rate of $1.5 to the pound...normally the SE12 lists for $170 (US)...something is awkward here...

You're assuming that the prices they pay are equivalent to our exchange rate. They aren't. For example : a $500 tv here in america might cost them 500 pounds. But if you make $10 an hour working and they make 10 pounds an hour it's the same price essentially.
