Sub direction?

I plan on adding 2 more Ks this summer wich would give me a total of 4.

I plan on giving each sub around 1 cu. ft.

My box options are:

1. All 4 facing straight up

2. A "V" shape box where there would be 2 subs on each side firing as straight back as I can fit them in.

3. 2 boxes containing 2 sub facing back. One box would be infront of the other.

4. One box facing forward and one box facing backwards.

Also would 1800 watts be too much for the 4 Ks.

I know from experience that facing your subs toward the inside of the car makes alot of the bass seeminly get "absorbed".

Facing them backward would probably be loudest. BUT, my friend has 2 Audiobahn 15's sealed facing up in an Intrepid and it is darn loud.

And they're only 600wrms subs. And before that he had 2 Memphis 15's in the exaxt same box, and again, it was pretty darn loud.

I'd also like some feedback from people who have their subs facing up, bcuz that is the only way I can get both of my 15's in my trunk.

For bass like 45hz and below it probably doesn't make much of a difference, but for higher notes like 60-70hz it might. So yeah, I'm also curious.
