subs stop thumping

hey, i have a bostwick amp and im running 2 memphis 12s and 2 infinity 12s, and sometimes the bass just cuts off, but the amp stays on, and its not even hot, could it be my RCA cables are messed up? any help would be appreciated, thanks

 
My freinds ride does somethin like that. Its playin along then his whole head unit blinks off then back on after a second. Now that i think about it i guess thats not the same at all. Hmmmmm?

You can connect subs with wires in different ways and that can change the ohms (resistance) the amplifier sees. Too low of a load (closer to 0)...

Both in the right box are good. Those premade ones probably don't give you their potential. I wanted to try one of those R subs but man Alpine...

The way you had them before does not really pose a danger. On the contrary, they presented a higher Ohm load to the amp so the amp put out less...
