sudden bass hits...then the amp goes on overcurrent....what do I do?

they told me that maybe the amp goes into protection cus of too little voltage, and the amp just shuts off. this is why i went from 8 gauge to four igauge. this helped out a lil, but it still does it when i turn it up loud for a while... dunno what else it could be...

Check each speaker for shorts. A pinched wire grounding out or a individual blown speaker can sometimes make the internal amp go into protection.

There will definitely be a mechanical noise when you overpower the speakers. That sound will show up long before overheating the coils. Like most...
