what screws needed

i was wondering if i ever wanted to compete and i wanted to make a nice huge ported box if i could use drywall screws or what type of screws should i buy

Those are generally best to construct the box with but not to mount gear with.

Ideally bolts with T-nuts on the back. Those are pretty much required if you are talking about a heavy sub. Otherwise you can make do with sheet metal screws or any wood screw with a flat bottom on the head.

how are you suppose to get the t nuts on the back after the box is already assembled???

I use #8, 1 5/8" drywall screws...yes even for mounting the sub. Have not had any problems.
