Not really a great comparative. That said, the Morels would be my choice here. If you just want to save money and like metal domes, consider these pioneer's at $99 a pair. They are bass heavy midbass components and very lively mids and highs.
1-1/8" aluminum tweeter. 6-1/2" Twaron fiber woofer with butyl rubber surround. Tweeter Composition Aluminum. Woofer Composition Twaron. Woofer Surround ---. handles up to 100 watts RMS (300 watts peak power).
Again, I prefer those Morel comps to these pioneers too. Many players in this price category though. I tend to lean heavily to Morel when talking about their upper end units (hybrids and above) as they have tweeters with the Acuflex coating and thoise tweeters are only found in their higher models. The Acuflex coated silk tweeters are markedly better and really is what one would call the morel signature sound.
For the cost of the Morels, I'd prefer these as I think overall the ES 1200is in the CDT comps is better than any of three mentioned here.
