I couldnt get that website to come up but if that's true, then I am going to buy four of them and sell them on Ebay. The cheapest I've found them for is $1199.

Mine is on the inside of my windshield. I have four antennas, well, two mounted to two pods. As aforementioned, the signal is best while the vehicle is stopped. It's not bad when you are moving and close to the TV station. Overall it's not a bad investment.

Mine would hit the shifter if I tried to open it with my truck in park. It does not, however, come close to the shifter when in any other gear. It's no big deal really, you just gotta remember not to hit "Open" before you shift.

Mine is permanently grounded with no issues whatsoever. Just ground that wire out and you'll be fine. Forget the switch. BTW, just put it in yourself, it's fun and a piece of cake.

As far as your particular model, I'm not sure. I have the VRX925 and it is "fully motorized". They DO make them that are NOT fully motorized. Do some searches for reviews of the 610 on Google and you'll find yoru answer. I'd be willing to bet since the 610 is a lower model that you do have...
