So I just bought one of these RWE-302 - MB Quart 12" 1000 Watt Reference Series Subwoofer for $69!! Pretty good price for something I am just going to abuse for a little bit and have fun. I am not certain which box to buy before I commit to building one. Should I go ported or sealed for this...

Your amp would be very underpowered to run those subs very loud if you chose to wire it that way. The speakers are 500rms and the amp is 250x2 @4 ohm. Maybe you could sell that amp and Rockford sub and get a bigger more powerful amp?
