So I was driving today when my sub just cutout and wouldn't come back on. It wasn't that loud compared to volumes I've run the sub at before, and I had only been driving for about 10 minutes when it cutout.
Anyways, I went through the standard troubleshooting: Checked fuses at the amp and battery (they were fine), checked RCA's by connecting Ipod with Y-cable to amp (still nothing), then measured AC voltage on speaker outputs from amp (voltage modulated up and down when I adjusted volume). Now I'm checking the resistance of the sub (Memphis M3 10" DVC 2-Ohm). I'm getting 2.0 to 2.1 Ohm on one coil. The other coil is giving me values of about 200 kOhm to infinite resistance. So I'm guessing the sub is blown correct? The sub is still under warranty, I just want to make sure its the sub and not my amp before I bring it back.
