Can you trim the back of the door panel (around the speaker) to give you a little room?

I need a 8" SQ sub for my single cab pickup that doesn't have a mounting depth over say 5 inches. I had a 10" sub, but I ditched it in favor of gaining some legroom behind my passenger seat. Yes, I searched this forum. I found very little on the Arc, and nothing comparing comparing the two...

My German is not very good, but they appear to have internal crossovers? Plus, it looks like you can even bandpass with 'em. Suh-weeeeeet! I have a feeling that my Memphis amps days are numbered.. LOL!
