Thats what this leadacid is 75ah excide Titan, maybe I bout a bad one? Resting voltage was only at 12v?An Excide AGM battery might be within your budget??

I was clipping it real bad didn't have gains set plus it was wired to one ohm when amps only rated at twoI'm running a single hds208 on a sounqubed 2200 @.5 with an xs d3100, big 3, and it has been handling the power like a champ. Don't know how you slinkied your coil so easily. I just have to be careful not to bottom out the sub.
