Would a large box work for three subs if the two outside subs are in a sealed chamber and the center sub is in a ported chamber. Would this give me the best of both worlds (sealed and ported)? Or would it sound awful because of differences in the frequencies. Has anyone tried it? I do not have any experience in box building or really in car audio. Thanks for any advice.

There's probably a reason you never see a mix of the two..pick one and be happy..otherwise you'll be miserable trying to fix it or get another box.
