Amp for Germainiums

I'm still sticking with my recommendation for the Alpine PDX amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But if you want either of those you listed, flip a coin.

between the arc xxk and the dls which do you think would be the way to go. Since i can get both for within about 50 dollors of each other.
Tough call between the two as the dynamics of each are considerably different. Also one is a 4 channel which gives the oppurtunity for biamping and the other obviously does not. All in all you cant go wrong with either.

Where is it that your getting these new and within the same price range?

the PDX amps I think will gain a good rep mine sound real clean, I have a Arc audio 4200 SE to put in still have not done it, I like how my 2 Alpine's make a nice little stack:fro:

the dls is new for about 450 off ebay. and the xxk is about 400+ of ebay seeing that you know rainbows best which would you go with, and if i biamped would 80 per channel be enough? OR would something like the sundown 100.4 which give 100 per channel be more opt for biamping, and can it compet with these amps as far as sound quality?

PDX-4.150 is $439 shipped free from OCS. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

only thig about the pdx is its a class d amp, and isnt adventages to use a class a/b amp for comp.
A good full range Class D will be indistinguishable from an A/B in a properly installed and tuned system. And that Alpine is a great one.

how do you guys feel about the jl 450.4 150x2 for channels 1,2 and 75x2 for channel 3,4 so you cqan send 150 to the mids and 75 to the cal 25's

Dang great amp and perfect for what you are wanting to use it for. You can even use that amp to run active since it has a built in BP filter for CH 1 and 2.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
