Another welding cable thread...

Semi old thread but figured I share..

Pulled some Old School OFC Rockford 4 gauge out of one of my beaters this wire is a 17ft run from battery to back. It's been in this rig for 10 years and was in another for 5 years prior.. Still looks brand new has never been heat shrinked or nothing..

The big three wires were all street wires about 10 years old and this stuff had white chalky substance and well as green.. The wire is silver in color so not OFC..

I live a few minutes from the beach so salt water and rain 8 month out of a year.

I think you will be just fine to be honest. Id run it and check it after hammering on it quite a bit and check the temp on the wire by hand to see...
