Hello, and thank you in advance,

I am putting a buget system in my boat that consists of the following…
Fusion head unit
4 Skar audio 6.5 speakers
Rockville RXM8BTW 8 Channel 1500 Watt Marine/Boat Amplifier
  • RMS Power Output at 4 Ohms: 65 Watts x 8 Channels CEA Rated
  • RMS Power Output at 2 Ohms: 95 Watts x 8 Channels
  • RMS Bridged Power Output at 4 Ohms: 190 Watts x 4 Channels
  • Peak Bridged Power Output at 4 Ohms: 380 Watts x 4 Channels.
  • Configurable to 8-6-4 channels or 6.1 or 4.2 System
Rockville MS12LW 12” free air sub

My question is can I bridge 4 channels to the sub? Connect 2 sets of wires to the sub? The other 4 channels would run the 4 Skar audio full range speakers.

if you have a 4ohm dvc sub you can bridge 4 channels into 2 and use each of the 2 bridged channels to each voice coil. play a test tone and make sure the voltages are exactly matched per bridged channel

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

the AVIC was a tad more complicated to wire not to mention stuffing it in a smallish stereo hole. thanks for advice.

I agree; it doesn't. :) See my comment above on Tuesday at 4:08 pm; in short, I'll use the auxiliary port on the FM transmitter.

The end result is, not the intention. I think OP got what I was saying. The Brits generally aren't as sensitive. A 500w sub amp does not...
