OK
Im looking specifically for anyone who has experience with both and/or can provide good information on either. Its basically come down to these two.

Im leaning towards the Eclipses because of the strong midbass, as I like a good warm sound, but I also like my highs clean with good separation and transparency.

So which one to pull the trigger on? Looking to run 120-150RMS easy per speaker, and musical preference is normally death metal. Most all sets Ive heard are just incredibly harsh.

Bah.. completely different perspectives there.

The Eclipse seem very nice, and Ive heard with a phase switch they sound quite good. I will only be running one frontstage and I need them to keep up with my LVL5 as well as possible, and the Crescendos seem as theyll be louder.

So ugh! Decisions.. decisions.

Eclipse. CCXs are just a forum boner on some real good viagra right now. Dont get me wrong, they are decent, but I would take the old PG RSD comps over them any day.

Be different, rock the eclipse. You'll be able to send more power to them. Have 150-300rms@4ohms per side on tap for them.

I've heard a pair of Eclipse 6x9s and a set of 4" components(these were all black and from the Eclipse aluminum/titanium era) and honestly I really liked them. They don't like too much power though because we blew the 4 incher with 40 watts.

Appreciate the responses guys. Looks like ill be rocking the Eclipses at some point.

Still waiting on money from people..ZZz..
