I have two 10" Diamond Audio CM3 subs that I am putting in a F-150.

I can get around 0.75-1.0 cu. ft. per sub.

Their specs show sealed inclosure to be 0.5-1.0 cu. ft. and ported inclosure 0.75 cu. ft. per sub.

Any of you have experience with these subs? Port or not to port?

Also, since the box will not be deep enough to port on the same side as sub should I port out the top or side of the box?

Let me be a little more specific. I'll start from the beginning.

Equipment:

Ford SVT Lightning (regular F150 cab)

Two 10 " Diamond Audio CM3 subs

PG 1200.1 to push them

AudioControl 4XS crossover (w/ subsonic filter)

PPI PAR-245 preamp eq

Two layers of RAAMmat60 all around

I know that choosing between sealed and ported enclosures comes down to personal preference. I don't necessarily need super SPL, but I do like my bass. Basically my concerns boil down to this.

1) will these particular subs perform better in a sealed or ported enclosure, in this truck because of limited space.

2) since I have plenty of power, would I be better off with sealed

3) will a sealed enclosure give me the bass I like?

BTW

These subs are designed for small enclosures. Also, there is no way I can get 3-4 ft3. Maybe 2 ft3 at the most.

160AH lithium that supports a 12K system is pretty lofty! I've seen dual 24's or quad 12's that will do this. Most of what 've run across is dual...
