You Dont Need A Yellow Top...why Get A Car Battery For An Auido System?? Go With A Stinger Or Kinetik Battery...something That Is Made For A System...
for a few minutes? not just a "burp" .600-1200amps over time? what do you mean over time.
if you go via the route of the alt make sure what it will do at idle and what it takes(rpm) to actually put out said rateing...there are trade offs espeacially if when you crank up your system and it draws well over 100 amps...generally speaking most high output alts dont do full power until past 2000 rpm. not saying dont do one without the other just understand how it works to get an electrical system that meets your needsIf you have the $$ for the kinetik than i would spend it on an HO alt first. Mine cost me $300. I have an Accord too btw. You can still buy a decent deep cycle bat. Doesn't have to be a yellow top.
nope all i did before the system is put in a new jdm b16 thats it...**** was sick...now that i got a new setup in my girls car i can not wait to rebuild mine again..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif153 in a 4-door civic isnt too shabby. And you didnt upgrade to big 3, upgrade ur alty or battery?
BEst post of this thread...If your lights dim, I would first add on the "BIG 3," then change the battery, then the very last thing I would do is to change the alt to a ho alt.
You might consider getting a "Cap." 1 frad = about 1,000 wrms.
When adding the "BIG 3," make sure you fuse the cable within 18 in. from the battery. Use the fuse to protect to cable (wire).
Check out http://www.bcae1.com also. It's a good reference.
I found a web site for the ho alt.
