DUAL 12w6 amp

I did have a rockford fosgate 500a2 amp hooked up to my 2 12w6's and it out out 742 watts @ 2 ohms , and i had it running at 3 ohms. It wasnt wnough so i sold it. Now i am deciding between the rockford fosgate 800a2 or the jl 500-1. (i have about 450 or less to spend). Any suggestions would help!
