are you serious??? do you know why domestics need such a big motor...its to carry that fat assd body car over the road. when your car is only 2k lbs and your motor is putting down 400whp (yes out of a 4 banger) not much more to say than eat exhaust.

too bad my car does weight just over 2k and put down lots of power from it's v8. my point is that for the amount of time and money invested in that civic, it could have been quite faster and sound way better

show me a small 4cyl that can produce 1kwhp reliably

eitherway you slice it, hondas are more reliable in the end. a 300 hp gutted hatchback will rape a 500hp cobra, and we will still get better gas mileage and reliability.

dont get me wrong, i love the cobras, i actually want one, but just for the stock performance it has.

Yeah a K24 would kill a V8. I love both imports and domestics but a little honda with 400 whp is insane...they never need to hit much more than that.

I don't hate honda's by any means, but it drives me crazy when you see a video of a honda owner who spent a **** load of money on his pos talking **** after racing a stock v8 car and just barely winning.

I have respect for the cars that are truely fast, but why the hell spend that much money?

I have done it and yes it is way better than the torqueless 4cyl that came out.

show me a v8 vs honda build including vehicle cost...that comes out with same performance for far fewer dollars...its not possible unless you are doing the work yourself and even then i did all the work on mine myself and i'm putting down 200whp with only 1k spent...

my maverick after all work done came out to less than $2k for vehicle and parts

it runs in the mid to lower 8's in the 8th, depending on how shitty my reaction time is, which is what I set it up for...I have not run it on the 1/4.

oh....and I have not gutted the car yet
