Alright goes I’m pretty sure I know the problem but here’s my situation. I had 2 alpine type r 10s that are dual 4ohm 500rms max.
I was running them with a ct sounds 1000rms amp 1 channel.
I recently upgraded to 2 12” ct sounds tropo xl.l that are 1000rms per sub. I totally understand I’m running half the rms to each sub. They are wired to 1ohm but my amp never got hot before and now I realized it’s pretty warm. It’s not like on fire but it’s warm and it’s NEVER gotten warm before. Pretty sure my problem is I just need a bigger amp but curious what you guys would think.
