Hi,

I was wanting to know how many batteries would I need for this set-up. I'm planning on getting a DC Power 320 amp SPX-i high output alternator. And for the sound system I will have a total of 7, 000 watts rms I will be changing out my stock battery.

I was thinking of going with XS Power batteries. The XS 4800D will fit in my stock location. What addition battery or batteries do I need and how do I wire them?

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra and it has the extra battery tray and I could put an extra battery there. Would I need more than two batteries?

How much of your 7kw total will be sub amp(s)? Personally I wouldn't spend money on xs batts. I've done a few builds with them for other people and they do nothing more then my dekas other, then make your wallet a lot lighter....

4 G31 Dekas is what I'd do. SuperStart+, NGT Extreme, Duracell at Sam's club, all the same batt...

You wire them all in parallel. I'd do 2 POS runs of 1/0 from front to rear batts. 2 NEG runs in back. Fuse POS runs at BOTH ends.

With half inch MDF, it's like 4.27cu/ft internally not including sub and port displacement. That's like 3.5 to 3.8cu/ft after displacement. You...
