I'm trying to have a more fluid smooth sound in my car. Right now it's just really choppy and needs midbass to fill the gaps between my heavy bass in the rear and high tweet up top

The following speakers are known to have good midbass response, sorted by price:

Hybrid Audio Imagine (6.5)

Massive Audio CK6 (6.5)

Pioneer D-series (6.5)

All of these have component or coaxial versions. The HAT and Massive are convertible speaker that can be setup as coaxial or component. HAT midbass is amazing due to its lows and also its wide band. You can band pass it anywhere from from 60Hz to 5KHz.

If running active then your options really open up. Madisound and Partsexpress are ur friend..

I've got a pair of Crescendo MP mids on their way to my house right now. They are supposed to be pretty good. They just released their PWX line, $32 each for a 6.5"

Midbass is installation sensitive / dependent. Sealed doors are the first step.

Diamond audios also have some low extension, my hex s600s mid bass is strong. you'll need power though.
