JL 10w3v2 dual 4 ohm x2 And Alpine MRD-M301

With 2 dual 4-ohm subs, you can get a 1, 4, or 16 ohm resistance. Since that particular amp is only stabled down to 2 ohm mono, you want to go with the 4 ohm diagram.

You should change out the amp or the sub, you're not getting the best out of the amp with that combination.

 
The plan is to eventually upgrade the amp, but funds are not permitting right now...should I just use one of the subs instead? This would mean having to buy a box for a single 10"
