Thanks for the advice guys!...One more question, what are the advantages/disadvantages of inverting a sub?
you gain clearance and your sub's displacement in airspace. disadvantages, can be a pain in the *** trying to do it with a 85lb and up sub. Thanks for the advice guys!...One more question, what are the advantages/disadvantages of inverting a sub?
So inverting would be the better way to go for sub up, port back in a tline enclosure?you gain clearance and your sub's displacement in airspace. disadvantages, can be a pain in the *** trying to do it with a 85lb and up sub.
with a T line you will be sub back port back most likely. Unless you do bottom horizontal port. It shouldnt matter too much, mainly for aesthetics and fitment. So inverting would be the better way to go for sub up, port back in a tline enclosure?
Sub has a tmd of 9 11/16" It won't need to be inverted cause the port depth will be 10" I have it mocked up at 18.5x10" atm.So inverting would be the better way to go for sub up, port back in a tline enclosure?
Alright, i prefer sub up port back but Is that the best way to go in a hatchback suv?Sub has a tmd of 9 11/16" It won't need to be inverted cause the port depth will be 10" I have it mocked up at 18.5x10" atm.
I'll see what works best but with this box as long as the port has a wall or corner to load off of you'll be good. Shoot me those max dimensions when you can.Alright, i prefer sub up port back but Is that the best way to go in a hatchback suv?
I will pm you those as soon as I get home, if it helps I know my current 2 15s box is 38in wide and it fits pretty snug in between the wheel wellsI'll see what works best but with this box as long as the port has a wall or corner to load off of you'll be good. A tri-bend/fold tline will be 33" wide so you're good there. I'm thinking sub up port back will be what we're looking at. With that said, the 33" would be the height actually if it's doable. If not, it will be sub side firing, port back....or sub inverted on top with a lower height and wider enclosure.I will pm you those as soon as I get home, if it helps I know my current 2 15s box is 38in wide and it fits pretty snug in between the wheel wells
I like the sub up, port back option (with sub mounted normally) 33 for the hightime is fine, I believe my current box is about that hightA tri-bend/fold tline will be 33" wide so you're good there.
