I’m currently running a W7 12 Anniversary Edition on Fosgate 1000.5. I just came into 3 more W7s and 2 Punch 500m (Turtleback) … can the Turtleback handle the subs????
Although the W7s are very efficient, giving it half of it's rated power will not make them shine. The 500m will feed it roughly 375w RMS @ 3ohms, so that is half of it's rated power. I found that old school 1000-1500 watts RMS @ 2ohms amps, work great with a single 12W7. Now, if they are 10W7s, those 500m will work fine.can the Turtleback handle the subs????
I definitely understand. I was thinking the same but I know the old school Punch have “extended” power. Im running 4 W712s so I need to figure out what amps I need because I know one wouldn’t be sufficient for 4 subs at that capacity.Although the W7s are very efficient, giving it half of it's rated power will not make them shine. Alot of W7 fans use three subs for a final 1ohm load, so they can use any 1ohm stable amp that is not as expensive as the JL Audio amps. A 2000w @ 1ohm amp would be great on 3 12W7s.I need to figure out what amps I need b
So you have 4 identical W7s? DO you have sufficient airspace for them?I’m currently running a W7 12 Anniversary Edition on Fosgate 1000.5. I just came into 3 more W7s and 2 Punch 500m (Turtleback) … can the Turtleback handle the subs????
