Get one cheap sub and get better components upfront and a decent amp to power them.

The Imperial comps are a brand new line RD is coming out with for SQ competition. When I get mine in a couple of weeks, I'll give you more info. As far as a sub, I'm going to use a single RD Sonance 12.

Why not a pair of 8s IB in the stock locations? I have 1 12 now. Doing 4 8s sealed soon just to switch up for fun. I want to to IB with both set-ups eventually though.

So know one has heard these? Skip them and go for a decent set of well known comps like Focals or Boston Acoustics.

Exactly. Then what makes you think they will sound good? What makes you think they will sound better than what you can get for the same money from BA or Focal?

Until they have been proven, stick with what works. Everyone and thier dog makes subs that sound fine. Very few make decent comps with crossovers that are worth the money.

You said you want SQ. Then go for the SQ and forget the brand name hype.

I could understand if he's building a demo vehicle or getting products at a significant discount to go with one brand.
