Noob needs help

That sony cd player wont fit in your truck without alot of modifications.......That sony is a double din...your truck has a din and a half opening

Everything looks good to me. I dont know how much room you have for a hu but id probably lisen to this guy above me. If your going to spend that much on a hu theres tons of other ones that have even more features then that for the money. Check out this one.

Either way those 2 are good head units. Atleast ive had good luck with them and everyone else ive talked to seems to.

ok so i am purchasing tommorow and the first thing that i would like to set up on wedsday are my front and back speakers.. mine are unbarrable to here..and when i get the subs i will do the measurements for the box.

my question is can someone explain the steps im going to need to install the front speakers the back and the H.U and the amp also whatever stuff for the batterie. i need to know wiring tweeters and everything. assume i know nothing hahaha.

that would be greatly appreciated

To tell you the truth your best bet is either getting someone whos installed speakers and hu's it would take way to long to type out everything your asking. you could probably look it up on youtube. i wish you lived close to me because id just come over and help you hook everything up.

oorry i havent replied but i have been distracted since my last post. i did get new front and back speakers in my truck they are hooked up to the stock HU.

i couldnt get my subs and amp because my parents tapped into my savings account without me knowing so know i am back were i started just with speakers lol. i decided to just get one class d amp for the subs.and i was looking at the box http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5887_Dual+12-+Enclosure-+2000-2002+Chevrolet+-+GM+Extended+Cab+Full-Size+Pickup+Trucks.html

are full size subs gonna fight in there? or am i gonna have to go with shallow mount?

so far all i know is that i am getting

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17783_Sound+Storm+-SSL-+F2600D.html amp

and the type rs i think for the subs i think im just going to buy the box.

hu http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_14976_JVC+KD-R200.html

new budget is 600 for subs amp hu and box,,, im still deciding to make one or buy one and i still cant decide under the seat or remove seats but if i remove i need to make it look good

Its chill.

Im pretty sure they will. Just dont get any monster subs unless you take your back seat out. The hu looks good. The type rs wouldnt be a bad sub to get. As far as the box goes that one from sonix should work with those subs. Those subs are pretty standard size and the box should be able to accomadate for standard subs. If you remove your seats i would go with a ported box but i mean if its not that conveniant at all then dont worry about it. like i said before you can try one thing and change it later. I know its nice to have everything figured out but ive changed my box like 4 plus times. so i mean you've got to start somewhere and i think that sealed box with those subs would sound good and you would get a decent amount of sound. i say go for what you have up there.

Type Rs have huge mounting depths....like 6-7in i would choose a smaller sub and y not buy an dual amp kit so all u have to is run one power wire not two.

also 10s and 12s hit the same notes no matter what...saying a 10 wont play as low as a 12 is ignorant of any true audio knowledge. now will a 10 hit that same note with as much authority as a 12 well that all depends on many variables
