orion 275r or 2250 "THE BEAST"

I need some help please, I don't wich one of these amps to go with, what would be better for my setup? I'm trying to puch as much power as I can to my cmpx2 15"sub dual 4ohm voice coils. Any info greatly appreciated.

If you are running a single sub with dual 4 ohm coils the XTR-2250 is the obvious choice. If you were running two of them were you could get down to 1 ohm the 275R would be the better choice.

The 2250 is not meant to run below a 4 ohm bridged load, FWIW. I know that people have claimed to run them at just about every conceivable load out there but most of these people making these claims have proven time and again that they don't have a clue.

Without pushing the limits of amp stability, the 275r is rated to do more power at a load that you can wire that amp to. 600@2ohm vs. 500@8ohms.

That's right I forgot the 2250 is only 4 ohm stable mono, not 2 ohm.

With all the 275's I got to mess around with in the past, my vote goes to it. Solid amp and very strong from my experience.

KILROY, is that 600x2@2ohm or 600x1@2ohm? How would I wire the amp and sub to achieve this? Would it have to be bridged mono? Thankyou for the information.

The 275 will not do 600x2@2. It will do 600x1@2.
