please help, this is getting annoying

the wire is charred black right around the connection on the fuse holder and its starting to melt. I put the stock wire back in for now and disconnected the wire i put in. Im at a loss

pics would really help. I 2nd the idea that something is getting hot that is near the fuse holder....is it the same kind of fuse holder as the others that melted?

 
no, i bought a new holder. The ones before were mini anl holders from knukonceptz, this newer one is an anl db link holder. It has been fine for the last 3 months or so.

No i just put a new battery in and it had a lot of trouble cranking over. Now im not sure if its the alternator or starter.

Is this a blue or blue/white wire from the Kenwood? The ACC wire is red and although that should turn on the amp, it is not the prefered wiring...

It's called the K.I.S.S. preciniple ("Keep it simple, stupid!")... Takes the guesswork out of parallel/series wiring.
