Q1-3500d VS. SAZ-4500d

So I just bought a new SAZ-4500d for $800 which to me, seemed like a steal. It was used, but there is only one small scratch and is 100% functional.

I know it's a bit late to start a comparison thread about this, but I'm a bit curious anyways lol.

So based on specifications and board design goes, which amp would you prefer if price wasn't a problem?

Based on RETAIL prices, which amp would you prefer?

Just really curious to see what people think is all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lanzar opti 8000d could've had it for that price brand new with a warranty does 4500 at 1ohm
I was aware of that and considered it as well. I'm sadly a hipster that wants to run 'big name' companies with a reputable history. Not that Lanzar is a bad company by any means, but I'm sure you would agree with me that the SAZ-4500d will outperform an opti 8000d. I also like the letter 'S', which is why I only buy SoundQubed or Sundown gear.

Just kidding about that last part.

I love my 3500 lol, very over built amp, I finally did a SPL run this past weekend sb3 usaci scored a 149.9, and my friend mike used it for his setup on .25 ohm burp, he had the electrical for it, I was surprised how well it performed this weekend

Nice score. Just out of curiosity, how did your buddy score with it at .25 ohms?

Thanks for the responses guys.

156.2 is an awesome score! I would love if I could break 155db after I add some new batteries and swap out my subs.

SAZ 4500s will do upwards of 5k. They're solid amps and really wake up at high voltages. I would choose it any day over the SoundQubed.
Thanks for the input, sir. I also noticed the Sundown amps (or at least a couple of them) were tested at 12.8v as opposed to the SQ amps being tested 14.4v. I'm sure that makes a huge difference.

I'll be at heat wave in July this summer, I'm hoping to break the 150 on music, run my 3500 at .66 to 3 15's and add a few more batts and possibly throwing my stock alt back in and bracketing in the mechman

Yeah, like Audiobaun said, big amplifier likes a big car battery and a strong alternator. If you wire your subs to 1ohm, you want to have an idea...
