Anyone use Raptor capacitors? Thoughts? I just bought one and man, hard to explain but the system sounds different, almost better. The sound levels seem more consistent. Maybe it's placebo? I don't know. I do know the instructions are way off to fire it up properly. But besides that, I like it I think. If nothing else, I'm hoping it helps take some strain off the battery and alternator. I'm amazed at how much power the system uses, even at what I consider lower, volumes. The automatic on/off seems nice. We'll see if the off really works when I go to start it in the morning to go to work. Hahaha.

So, anyone else get one? $40 for the 2.5 Farad on Amazon was the tipping point for me. I mean, a capacitor is a capacitor for the most part, yes?

I don’t believe in capacitors. I won an auction on eBay once and got one super cheap, and I used it, but it was only for the volt meter. Didn’t seem to do anything for system performance for me.

Because they are literally nothing but a tube of concrete.... They are gimmicks for you noobs to think your $50 actually made a difference. A google or YouTube search will show you them being cut open.

They only really make a difference once you're up above 100's of farads of capacitance. There may be some benefit if you have ripple from your alternator and your batteries ESR doesn't smooth it out but that's extremely unlikely.

$40 per 2.5f cap. Buy 10 of them and you'll have half the final capacitance of a $300 bank of maxwell or XS power caps lol

Imagine someone having 10 or 20 of them in their car :ROFLMAO:

Capacitors only help if it’s a whole bank of caps or a super cap, ultra cap, super bank, etc, equaling about 500 to 1000 or more farads. Anything else is a waste. XS Power makes a 500 farad SuperBank that looks like a regular battery. It’s the easiest way to go if you want something out of a capacitor.
