Hi, I have installed a set of these components a few years back. I feed each mid/tweeter combination with one amp channel (so they're not bi-amped). Today I noticed that the passenger side tweeter was not playing at all while I was trying to diagnose a problem with the driver side component set cutting out. I initially thought the entire driver side was cutting out periodically while driving, but when I was ripping the speakers out of the door today to try to diagnose the issue, I was able to see that the mid was still playing while the tweeter was cutting out. Maybe the mid never was cutting out to begin with, and only the tweeter.
Anyways I now have one of the crossovers pulled out of the driver side door hoping to learn something or see a problem, but am still unsure. Is this likely a crossover issue, or just tweeters going bad? If it is an issue with the passive crossover, is there an easy way to find the issue/fix it? Do I need to bi-amp maybe? Thanks for reading.
