Was wondering if you would consider this technique: Good or Bad.

I inverted the Sub and keep it (non-reversed).

So essentially it seems to be pushing directly into the enclosure. And wind/ tune is coming out of the 33hz Port.

I heard it's referred to as "Shoving".

Its has little to no effect on the actual sound reproduction except the motor/suspension noise is no longer muffled by the box. But the port is way to small and choking that sub as well as creating port noise

Decided to run a: Square Port 6"X6" or 8"X6"?
MDF: 1/4" or 3/4?

Long story there's no 6" PVC pipe in Hawaii..

Whatever your boxes airspaces is multiply it by 15.

The number is what your port opening width x height should be. Then you have to find the length for the new port area.

And you should use 3/4 thick material, you might could get away with 1/2inch but not 1/4

How many cubes is your box? What is the length, width, and height of your box? I'm guessing that it's made out of ¾" mdf.

Thanks 👍.

I'll use

Thanks 🙏 I'll straight up use .75".

I calculated the displacement: (15" inside) the 2.72 Cube enclosure.

I'll have a 30" long Port (half inside).

Thought about dual 4" at 20" but I'd rather the square feel!!

I listen to Rebassed music. My favorite is Evil Pimp Rebassed. Haha. His songs have the most unique Bass.

I'd imagine square brings out that vintage feel.

I'd rather have an SPL type of enclosure so I'm going into square ports!!

I was looking at the PVC pipes @ the hardware store today and realized my options. Dual 4" or single 6".

Was realizing perhaps reducing the current Port noice by using polyfill? That wouldn't itself be sufficient?

Because of the software or calculation?

Proof your advice wasn't a waste of time.
I went out and bought a 10' X 6" PVC Pipe. $55.

34" Length. 2.6 Cubes (after port displacement).
28 HZ.
The FS of 712 is roughly 28.26 HZ.
