I have a skar sk-1500 for my amp that I am looking for subs for it. I am thinking 2 12's right now and I was curious about running it to half ohm. I have a standard battery under the hood, big3, 2nd battery in the back thats 100ah, and all 1/0 gauge wiring. I have it wired to 1 ohm right now, but I want to do 2 Fu Audio 12's powered down to half ohm. I was hoping after impedance rise, itll be really between half ohm and 1 ohm. I peak around 14.4 volts driving and full tilt, I am down to at the lowest 13.6 volts and that is consistent. Usually Stays around 14 volts. If so, I have a budget of 350 for 2 subs. I want to have 2 12s.
Basically, am I crazy for making this conclusion? If so, should I look into like 2 600w subs (Like HDS212s or Skar VVXs) or just wire those Fu Audio subs to 1 ohm and power them about 750w a piece. Right now, I have an XFL15 dual 2 that I might do another box for around 32Hz.
