Head unit - Pioneer DEH-P9850BT
- Amplifiers - Precision Power PC450 4 channel running speakers
- Amplifier - Phoenix Gold RX1100.1 monoblock at 2 ohms load
- Speakers - Boston Acoustics Rally series components - front
- Speakers - Rockford Fosgate co-ax two way.
- Subwoofers - Kicker F15A's / then Rockford Fosgate P215S4 / Rockford P210S4.
- Box type - infinite baffle in a hatch back, first attempt.
Front doors, and boot areas all sound deadened including removal of spare wheel for deadening and false floor installation. I initially went for a small box approach then I found these 15 inch subs for a good price, first was the Kicker , then had a go with the Rockford as well. My other amps were Rockford Fosgate 400A4 and a Punch 800a2 amp. Being a class a/b amp the 800A2 kept triggering my circuit breaker so I knew it was drawing a bit of current so when I went to US, I visited Mikes SOUND SOLUTIONS at Elk Grove California. Mike sold me the amp for a good price and its still running in my current car today. I have sold the Subaru since the install and had to put it all back to stock. The top baffle is hinged so to provide access to the trunk area. Again, wadding has been applied to the end to fit snugly with the hatchback door closed.
The lighting is installed for display purpose so I hardly use it. Most car audio shops told me there's no way you can do IB in a hatchback. I have proved them wrong and so far happy with the result and my other SQ mates have also commented on the sound quality.
