tuning a box to 35?

The way I tuned my box years ago when I had a JL12w5 was the port length and diameter. I contact JL and they gave me the port size depending on what I wanted it tuned to.

i just made a fiberglass box for 2 re se's, i have heard i should tune to 35, and i need to know how to do that...
Whats the volume of the box ... what is the width and height of the port ...

For 4.75 cu ft. tuned @35Hz

Use 3 3" diameter ports that are 7.6" long.

or

Use 4 3" diameter ports that are 11" long. (more port area = less noise)

it would be hard to get alot of port area with round ports but.....u could do 4 3" ports 10.85 inches long. i duno if thats enough port area tho, according to John (snova) u need 10-15 in.^3 for each cube..

well, i want it loud, so dont i want less ports then? what if i made one long rectangle port across the bottom?

would that work, by making a little rectangular box, and leave the 2 sides off and cut and glue that into my box? i will want it 1 1/2 high. it doesnt matter how long, cause it goes across the width of my trunk facing the inside.i just need a width and depth...if that idea will work...?
