I've had this problem for awhile. I don't believe it's a ground issue, It does NOT happen when i turn off the head-unit manually. It ONLY happens when i turn off my car (04' Chevy Malibu Classic) and open the door. OR If i turn my car off and listen to music for awhile, eventually the car will turn the stereo off, and that's when the bass will thump.
My car will automatically turn off the stereo after the car is turned off.
Also, I have this installed: Metra LC-GMRC-01 Wiring Interface Connect a new car stereo and retain factory door chimes and audible safety warnings in select GM vehicles without factory amp (does not retain OnStar) at Crutchfield.com .
It retains the door/warning chimes and allowed me not to splice into the 12v ignition.
This problem happens with both subwoofer amps I've installed in my car.
How can i fix this?
