How do I get the remote to link with the car's unit? I've tried pressing the P on the back of the remote once so it goes into the auto feature and then holding the button down so it will learn. That's all the instructions said to do on the package.

What else am I doing wrong or can I do? How do I get all my buttons working on this remote?

I have remote start that was programed for the Star button and then lock and unlock were programed.

check the install manual for programming instructions. IIRC, it's key on with a door open, press the valet button 7 times and hold it on the 8th, you should hear 8 chirps, then press lock on the remote. I think that's how you do it.
