Which shallow-mount sub?

I have a 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty Super-Cab (extended cab..)

I want to put a sub under the rear seat, which only has about 6 inches or so from the bottom of the seat to the floor. Factor in an inch or two for the box thickness, and I’d pretty much need a shallow-mount speaker.

I was looking at the following:

Pioneer Premier

--TS-SW1041D/TS-SW2541D

--10" 4-ohm subwoofer

--250-300 watts RMS (1000 watts peak power)

--2 7/8” mounting depth

Kicker CompVT

--07CVT102

--10” 2-ohm subwoofer

--50-400 watts RMS (800 watts peak power)

--4 5/16” mounting depth

Rockford Fosgate Punch

--P3SD210

--10” with dual 2-ohm voice coils

--100-300 watts RMS (600 watts peak power)

--3 ½” mounting depth

Well, any suggestions? I will make my own box, and worry about an amp later, just wondering which one of these.

hmm, interesting..

I could also put 2-3 smaller ones too I suppose, if it'd be decent sounding.

I just want ya'll to show me whats the best thing I could do for the space I have, box-wise, probably about 6-7" high, maybe 2' long, and 10-12" wide or so.

I really appreciate it, keep it coming.

can you angle the box? Fiberglass I'll bet you can fit 5.7 inch subs under there? You sure you really only have 6 inches?

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I just want my backseat back, I had a RF 10 in a box like on the floor, with 1/3 of the seat folded up, but I need all my backseat back, so I want it all under the seat if possible.

But its not much, 7" tops, and I don't want stuff just jammed under there all tight.

just looked at the tang band, xtecs, and the sws's, all seem pretty badass, anyone have any personal experience with any of these that might sway my decision? lol

Can you lift your seat up another inch? Then you would not have to get a LP sub..

Maybe get the new JL LP sub if you have to it looks like a winner.

JL makes a new w5 those would be something to consider they look pretty sweet.

Heres some pics

what I had in there, speaker was too deep, that's as shallow as I could make the box, and its wedged under the larger half of the seat here. And I just kept the smaller portion folded up.

So yea, that's my situation

JL makes a new w5 those would be something to consider they look pretty sweet.

the TW5? Not gonna be out till later this year I think.
