Wrapping Crossovers in Tape...?

Relocate the crossovers in the vehicle.

Taping them or putting them in a bag will only trap the heat in the crossover case.

Heat is the enemy.

use one of thoze giant balloons from car dealers. i used a balloons for my crossovers works like a charm keep em dry

thats what we do with r/c cars...electronics in balloon, zip tie, silicone/grease, then another zip tie and you are 100% waterproof
