Setup suggestion.

I'm trying to put together a system so far I'm on a budget and I was wondering what you guys think about this setup.

I have a Honda S2000 and I will be replacing the stock 6.5 components and adding a 12" subwoofer.

Subwoofer: eD 12" K or Kx series

Components: CDT Audio HD-62EF

Amp: Xtant 403a (2x50 & 1x100 @4ohms, 2x100 & 1x200@2ohms)

*I read that on a bench test the 403a sub channel put out 320w+ rms at 2ohms

My main concern is that the sub channel for the 403a will not deliver enough power to the sub, but I've heard that the Xtant 403a is underrated. Would my setup workout ok?

I'm open to all suggestions/advice.

That would have excellent SQ, what is your budget?

Are you looking for SQ/SPL/SQL?

ummm...sound good, but i would go with the K and a larger amp! I'd say, 1 usx4065 bridge it to give the CDT's 160x2 watts rms. Then get a usx2150 for the K...bridge it for 450x1 watts rms. Put each amp under the seats, or in the trunk. That would be a much better use of your equipment, peace

I'm going for sq, Getting a really good deal for the Xtant 403a so I'm going to try and stick to that option, unless I would be underpowering the speakers. Do you guys think it won't be enough power

ummm...yeah, i think u'd be underpowering the CDT's by a lot. They are 180 watts rms, and CDT components seem to lack mid bass response when they are well under their rated rms power. peace

I'm also thinking about getting the xtant 403a. I was also wondering if it was enough power for a kicker L5 10" 2ohm sub.

Hey Stillapfg where are you getting a good deal on the 403a? I'm getting mine from sounddomain if I decide on it. I saw it on ebay too.
