top 4000+ watt amps??

If you're running 4,000+ watts, you should have tha electrical to back it up though.. that's my opinion.

But I have seen someone try and run a SS6500 on stock electricals in this forum before.

Im bout to attempt to run my autotek 4000 on stock alt

But a 2400 underhood and nsb125 in back....ill see what happens...dmm shall be on hand for crank up

My friend ran 2 IA40.1s at .35 on stock alt Teg(75amp) and only 2 nsb125s and he didnt drop below 12s

And they put out 7200watts@2ohm rise......go figure

No one has mentioned it yet so I will. The new Arc SE4000 is getting great reviews. 4k at 1 ohm.

There are a lot of good 4kw amps out there.....The modded MA HK 4000D's are very close to 4kw at 1 ohm ...I have 5 of those and they can be found all the time for around $500 each.....Which is a good low priced budget 4kw ....not real clean power but good and semi decent efficieny if running 1 or 2

Sure... for a little while. IA listed the 40.1 current draw @ 450 amps... suffice to say you will not draw 900 amps for more than a few moments and not drop under 12 volts.

Even at 7200 watts you are looking at ~750 - 800 amps. Those NSBs will hold over 12 volts for a bit... but it's completely unreasonable to even entertain the notion that a 75-amp alternator, almost no matter what batteries are hooked up, can maintain decent voltage with that kind of a current draw for very long.

In my truck with 7x Powermaster D3100s, a Deka Intimidator, and 2x 200 amp alternators I can get the voltage down to the 12s in a minute or so... and I can drop it under 12 volts by the end of one song. With 4x SAZ-3000Ds @ 1/2 ohm with ~300 - 400% impedance rise.

Now sure... I can run those same amps on two batteries and a 75 amp alternator... turned way down for continuous listening.
