Yes those are the ones, I think I will just leave them at 100 then. I do have a JL 10w7 in a ported enclosure in the trunk so I probably wouldn't even notice a difference. You guys are crazy lol

I was wondering what would be safe for these components, they are being pushed to 70watts RMS with my alpine four channel amp. I have them crossed over at 100hz right now and was thinking about switching to 80hz. Would that be ok?

Bump for Kevin, installed my 10w7 in the enclosure I purchased and it sounds AMAZING! I could not be happier with the sounds I'm getting from this box. Such good craftsmanship, I will be purchasing again soon.

Ok awesome, looks like I will go ported then. I want as much sound out of this sub as possible.

I want it to be as loud as possible without sacrificing much SQ. What would be the best option for this sub? Ported or sealed enclosure?

Also if I go sealed, would the phoenix gold still sound good? How big of a box should I go with? Ported is always louder though correct?

Well my car is setup how I want it now from my components to amps to head unit. I have everything wired and mounted just need to change my subwoofer. The amp will be the MRP M-650 Alpine still, whatever will work best off 600 watts in a relatively good sized box.

Also why does everyone dislike the Type R's? Are they really that bad?

A bit of both but more on the SPL side. Ive had quite a few SQ subs and want to change it up now. Plus my gas tank in my trunk makes it tough to get bass through.
