0 to 80hz sweep for gain setting using dmm

I had an idea that using a sweep of frequencies of that which your sub plays, is better to use for getting the correct voltage because all frequencies are there to affect the voltage instead of just 60hz. Would this be worth a try, or should I just use a lower hz 0db tone like 20?

Voltage for the signal? What does that mean? Electricity isn't measured in purpose. Gain is a characteristic of a circuit. You aren't adjusting...
