The part with the AC control cutouts, is one piece that extends all the way to the passanger side where the vent is

close your eyes, and pull at the dash really hard.

easy the plastic shroud around the radio/vents snaps out.

that plastic piece will snap off (trust us on this one), and it will reveal how the radio is secured. probably snaps in place.

from what dre said, it sounds like i have to pull that part with the AC controls as well and that there are screws holding in the shroud from underneath it as well?

that is only if the plastic around the radio wont pry off at the bottom

best case and most likley that plastic around just snaps off

take a plastic pannel remover and pop off the outer plastic piece ftw.

this one was a hell of a lot easier than the 07 i did

see now that it sounds like I got some good info, I think I will go ahead and order the pioneer nav unit I wanted to get.

my former co worker did that on the pocket at the bottom of a mitsubishi endeavor door once

long story short he bought a new door

this is why I am considering taking it to a place. I HATE paying to have somone install, but then again, if they break the tabs on anything, then its up to them to secure it in such a way as I never know, or replace the piece they broke.
