Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some factory replacement speakers that have 2" or less mounting depth. My budget is about $125. I was doing some research and came up with the following:

rockford fosgate t1s652

Which ones do you think will work out the best for my car? I'm going to be running 45 watts rms to them. I will be running a 12" sub as well. I'm going to try to seal up the door and deaden the doors per the sticky thread here in the forums. I'll be running 2 sets of them; one in the front doors and one in the rear doors. The stock size for my car is 6 by 8.

I read the manual and it does come with a 6 by 9 adapter that houses the mid and the tweeter. I'm sure you can run them off one amp or run the tweets off their own amp. The rockford website has the instructions online.

I am looking at the exact same group of speakers as the original poster. These are for my 89 Ranger which requires a shallow 6.5" speaker (2 1/8" max). I don't really want to deal with mounting a component system and I am trying to keep it looking as stock as possible since the truck sits out on the street. The goal is better midbass than the horrible 15 year old sony coaxials that are currently in it (I know that won't be too difficult). However, it does appear that many of the shallow 6.5s lack midbass compared to their non-shallow counterparts. They will be receiving about 50w rms.

Does anyone have experience with the speakers mentioned above?
