Best way to connect 5 speakers to a 4 channel amp

bridge the front channels if you can to the appropriate load,

bridge the rear channels to the sub if you can with the appropriate load

thats the only way id do it. you cant run the sub on the same channel as it requires different frequencies

you want to maintain left right separation or it will sound like ****

 
What speakers do you have?

What amp?

And what subwoofer?

If the speakers are svc 4 ohm I would wore each pair down to a 2 ohm load and then wire each pair on the first 2 channels. And run the subwoofer bridges on channels 3 and 4.

Other option would be to run the front speakers on the front 2 channels and run the rear speakers off head unit power.

Either way, the woofer needs to be on channels 3 and 4 by itself.

 
Run the components on the front 2 channels, subwoofer on channels 3 and 4 bridged. Run the JBL off head unit power unless you want to add another amp.

I hear ya. There are so many good deals on speakers too. My kid is 16, so loud is better than SQ. LOL... I really like the sound of the PPI...
