Bxi 2006D vs. Power Acoustic 3000db

Another comparison needed between these two, I have researched alot and they both seem like their good budget amps. What do you know about them that I dont?

BTW this is my 1st system so their may be things im not aware that is better on one than the other.

PA is a solid amp. I liked mine so much, for what it was, that I'm really leaning towards 4 strapped on a btl 18.

Ive seen PA amd owned 2 hifonics amps, you can't strap hifonics go with pa so if you want to upgrade you can just buy another and strap them. Also seem to hold resale value a little better than hifonics.

i would get the power acoustik,they wont do rated power, but it will probably do atleast 3/4 of the rating..if not slightly more. i would buy another power acoustik anyday

both seem like middle of road amps. Solid, possibly overrated, but quality amps. The price is right.

PA is cheaper. Both are overrated. PA will do more rms. PA > Hifonics.

Finally some posts!!! ok well the PA takes 4 awg doesnt that seem small compared to the hifonics which is runnin 2, Im plannin on runnin 0awg throughout my car and how am I suppose to get that big 0 awg in the 4 hole? sorry first system but I could use some help.

I ran 8 BXI2006D's in my Blazer for most of this past year. I ran the amps at .5 and beat the crap out of them. They never got hot or shut off or went into protect. They took Kicker 0Ga. without any trimming. Did a 157.8 at SBN at 37hz.

I have sold the PA amps but had more returns for repair than with the HF.

I honestly believe in Hifonics. I can vouche for NeillBarber on this one. Ive ran my BX1000D..its one of the old models at 1 ohm for over 2 years now and its still going strong and has NEVER went into protect mode from overheating...ever. In fact running full tilt it doesnt even get warm at 1 ohm. I believe Hifonics rates their amps correctly but I think they flurb on their ohm ratings...more like rounds them off. I have no doubt in my mind that Hifonics amps can put out rated power with ohm ratings slightly below what theyre rated for.
